Client Details

We are currently working with a Privately Held Manufacturing Company in their search for a Staff Accountant to join the team! The Staff Accountant will report into the Controller and will be responsible for journal entry preparation, trial balance account reconciliations and departmental expense review and analysis. This position will be on site 5 days a week.

Description

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the following:

Overall control of month end closing task & responsibilities checklist.Performs all required general accounting tasks as directed.Upload and post journal entries to the ORACLE General Ledger.Prepare, upload and post journal entries including the weekly payroll entry.Generate and issue weekly departmental expense reports and prepare required reviews and analyses.Generate monthly financial statements for plant operations.Monthly reconciliations of general ledger balance sheet accounts and preparation of related adjustments and analyses.Maintain the monthly journal entry log and ensure that all required journal entries are prepared and correctly uploaded and posted to the ORACLE General Ledger.Significant involvement in preparing and maintaining rolling forecastResponsible for maintaining current system reports, assist in development of future reports and streamlining reporting requirements Support and assist in annual audit information requirementsAssists the Controller in making sure that the month end closing schedule is adhered toMaintain the petty cash impress fundSpecial projects and analyses as assigned by the Controller

Profile

The ideal Staff Accountant will have the following experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, preferred.One to four years of experience in the field or in a related areaExperience working within a manufacturing environment, a plus.ORACLE or SAP experience a plus!Strong general accounting skills including journal entry preparation, trial balance account reconciliations and departmental expense review and analysis.

Job Offer

The Staff Accountant will be rewarded with the following:
